•
occurred at the Exxon Gasso site across the street.
During the three months between the March & June measurements,
the water table has risen almost 2. 5 feet, and slightly over 4
feet since last October The measurement taken in October, 1993,
shows a drop of a little over 1 foot since June. This is to be
expected with the end of the rains & aquifer withdrawals exceed-
ing recharge. Although the regional gradient does not appear to
have changed to any extent, the lowering of the water table due
to those withdrawals may have caused sufficient pressure differ-
ential in an easterly direction to move the contamination towards
MW #2
In summary, the data recorded to date continues to indicate
another source of contamination located to the north of this
location; such a site has been identified beneath the Gaso Exxon
property immediately to the north and west. In order to more
fully evaluate the extent of the contamination, and discuss
possible solutions, the County EHD has arranged a meeting with
representatives & consultants of both properties. Until that
meeting is held, and the data has been analyzed, we cannot recom-
mend any further work be done on this site, except for continuing
the ongoing monitoring program.
I
Sincere)
incerrre ,
W
Wm.
