Morita Brothers Service Station 2 November 6, 1992 <br /> 4 <br /> 4 <br /> ' All site assessment methods employed are in accordance with regulations and <br /> guidelines set forth in CCR Title 23, Chapter 3, CCR Tale 22, Chapter 30, Article 11, the <br /> CFR Title 29, Part 1910, Section 120, CFR Tale 40, Parts 190-299, and the Tri-Regional <br /> Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of <br /> Underground Tank Sites, as well as accepted professional <br /> environmental/geotechnical engineering procedures and applicable San Joaquin <br /> ' County regulations <br /> 2.0 BACKGROUND <br /> 2. 1 Site Description <br /> The site is located at 814 East Charter Way in the city of Stockton in San Joaquin <br /> ' County, California (Figure 1) The site was formerly operated as a gasoline service <br /> station <br /> The site is situated within a mixed commercial and residential area Nearby <br /> ' properties are primarily commercial businesses A second gasoline service station is <br /> present to the northwest on the north side of Charter Way This second gasoline <br />' service station has a documented release of gasoline hydrocarbons which has <br /> impacted groundwater with high concentrations of gasoline hydrocarbons The <br /> overall site topography is essentially flat with a very slight fall to the west <br /> 2.2-- -Prb,ect History <br />' On December 27,� 1991, a 5,000 gallon underground leaded gasoline storage tank, a <br /> 5,000 gallon underground unleaded gasoline storage tank, a 2,000 gallon <br />' underground premium unleaded gasoline storage tank, a 500 gallon underground <br /> waste oil tank, a dispenser island, and associated product pipelines were removed <br />' from the Morita Brothers Service Station by Crisp Construction of Visalia, California <br /> from the above referenced property which was formerly -an automotive repair and <br /> `gasoline sales facility (Figure 2) <br /> EB-8101-3 9210-EOSS RPT <br />
