1 <br /> Monta Brothers 2 May 6, 1992 <br /> March 25 and 26, 1992 consisting of seven soil borings and laboratory analysis of <br /> thirty soil samples to assess the vertical and lateral extent of gasoline impacted soil in <br /> the vicinity of both the former gasoline tank and associated product pipeline <br /> ' All methods to be employed are in compliance with regulations and guidelines set <br /> ' forth in California Code of Regulations (CCR) Title 22, Article 11, and Title 23, Chapter <br /> 3, California Site Mitigation Decision Tree Manual, the Code of federal Regulations <br /> (CFR) Title 29, Part 1910, Section 120, CFR Title 40, Parts 300-399, and the Tri-Regional <br /> ' Board Staff Recommendations for Preliminary Evaluation and Investigation of <br /> Underground Tank Sites, as well as accepted professional <br /> ' environmental/geotechnical engineering procedures <br /> ' The scope of work for this project was developed in conjunction with Mr Richara' <br /> Warren of Crisp Construction and Mr Steven Schneider of the San Joaquin County <br /> Department of Environmental Health Services In addition, remedial action <br /> alternatives are presented Work performed to date includes the following <br /> • Development of site health and safety, and technical work plans <br /> • Drilling and sampling of seven exploratory soil borings to a maximum <br />' depth of 55 feet below surface grade <br /> • Laboratory analysis of thirty selected soil samples for Total Purgeable <br />' Hydrocarbons as gasoline, and the gasoline constituent volatile aromatics <br /> as well as four samples for the presence of total lead <br /> • Preparation of this report presenting our results, conclusions, and <br />' remedial action alternatives for the site <br /> 1 1 Site Description <br /> tThe site is located at 814 East Charter Way in the city of Stockton in San Joaquin <br /> County, California (Figure 1) The site was formerly operated as a gasoline service <br /> station <br /> The site is situated within a mixed commercial and residential area Nearby <br /> properties are primarily commercial businesses The overall site topography is <br /> essentially flat with a very slight fall to the west <br /> E13-8101-2 9204-EO44 RPT <br />
