Soil vapor samples must be collected, analyzed for the constituents
of concern, and evaluated against the San Francisco Bay Regional Water Quality Control
Board (SFBRWQCB), Environmental Screening Levels (ESL).
On May 4, 2009, the EHD approved Soil Gas Investigation Work Plan dated April 6, 2009,
submitted by AGE. On May 15, 2009 the EHD issued a permit to advance push points to
collect soil vapor samples. Please proceed with scheduling the work and contact Michael
Infurna to schedule an inspection of the work.
The State Water Resources Control Board (SWRC ) adopted Resolution #2009-0042 on
May 19, 2009. This resolution directs the Regional Water Boards and LOP (Local
Oversight Program) 'agencies that oversee the UST underground storage tank) Clean Up
Program to reduce quarterly groundwater monitorinc requirements to semi-annual or less
frequent monitoring at all sites unless site-specific needs warrant otherwise.
The above subject site is currently listed with the San Joaquin County Environmental
Health Department (EHD) LOP program. This letter is to inform you that per SWRCB
resolution #2009-0042, you are to reduce sampling of all monitoring wells currently on a
quarterly sampling schedule to a semi-annual sched le.
