Larger, field-constructed containers will be inspected according to the requirements of API 653, which stipulate that formal external inspections be conducted every 5 years and out-of-service internal inspections conducted at a time interval based on results from previous inspections, but not exceed 20 years. Discharge of boiler and cooling tower blow down is discharged back to the process. 6.11.10 Correction of Visible Discharges[112.8(c)(10)] Visible Oil Leak Corrections from Tank Seams and Gaskets: If, by regular inspections or otherwise, it is determined that the integrity of a tank or drum is or may have been compromised, it will be reported to the Maintenance Department. The problem will be evaluated and the appropriate steps taken to correct deficiencies. It may be appropriate to take the system out of service(e.g., the material transferred out of the tank or piping). If spills are detected, they will be immediately cleaned up. 6.11.11 Position of Mobile or Portable Containers(112.8(c)(11)] The facility places drums in portable secondary containments sufficient to contain a spill from the largest container. 6.12 Facility Transfer Operations, Pumping, And Facility Process [112.8(D)] 6.12.1 Protection of Buried Piping[112.8(d)(1)] There is no buried oil piping at the Facility; therefore, this section does not apply.
