I
Advanced
GeoEnvironmental , Inc ®
18 November 2008
AGE-NC Project No. 95-0121
Mr. Mike Infurna
SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH DEPARTMENT
600 East Main Street
Stockton, CA 95202 ; P, 'iif3tiUiES
Subject: Request for Reduction in Quarterly Monitoring Frequency
NOMELLINI CONSTRUCTION CO.,
1045 West Charter Way, Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Infuma:
On behalf of Mr. Dante John Nomellini, Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc. (AGE) is requesting
approval by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department (SJCEHD) for a reduction
in the sampling frequency of ground water monitoring and remediation wells at 1045 West Charter
Way, Stockton, California. Attached is the proposed reduced monitoring schedule, with a brief
justification for the reduction of sampling. The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 . Site structures
and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2.
The current monitoring program includes the following:
• Depth to water measurements in all wells;
• Sampling of twenty-three (23) monitoring and remediation wells.
The proposed monitoring program would include the following:
• Depth to water measurements in all wells;
• Sampling of deep wells MW- 13 , MW. 14, and MW- 15, and shallow screened wells MW-2,
MW-4, MW-5, and MW-6. This will reduce the redundancy of sampling points and the
overall cost.
• Sampling of shallow-screened remediation well EW- 1 to monitor the contaminant
concentration in the "core" area of the plume (Figure 2).
AGE also proposes to monitor and sample all of the site's monitoring wells on an annual basis
during the second quarter of each calendar year.
837 Shaw Road , Stockton, California 95215
Telephone (209) 467 - 1006 Fax ( 209 ) 467 -1118
