Nomelllini Property
1045 W . Charter Way, Stockton
CPT report comment
An additional complication exists with monitoring wells MW- 1 , MW-2 and MW-3 .
The boring logs for all three wells indicate sand from 5 ' to 55' bgs . The wells are
screened from 33' , 32 ' and 30' bgs to 53' , 52' and 50' bgs , respectively. CPT-I
and CPT-2 logs indicated clayey lithology from approximately 32 ' and 32' bgs to
42 ' bgs . SJCEHD is concerned that the well screen intervals may be providing a
vertical pathway between HU-2 and HU-4. The wells and logs should be
carefully reevaluated and the wells replaced if it cannot be shown that the wells
are not providing a vertical conduit between permeable hydrologic units .
It should be noted that SJCEHD will not concur with a closure request with
dissolved 1 , 2-DCA still unassessed or with the extent of impacted groundwater
yet unknown , and the Central Valley Region Water Quality Control Board
(CVRWQCB ) is extremely unlikely to concur if such a recommendation were
forwarded to them from this office.
A work plan that addresses the above noted concerns should be submitted to
SJCEHD and the site further assessed before closure requests or remedial
actions are initiated .
Please contact Michael Infurna at (209) 468-3454 or Nuel Henderson (209) 468-
3436 if you have any questions.
Donna Heran , REHS , Director
Environ ental Health Department
Ae 1, 44 r 49 011ft
Michael J .
