INTRODUCTION <br /> At the request of Mr Dante John Nomellim,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared <br /> this quarterly report for 1045 West Charter Way, Stockton, California(the site) The scope of work <br /> included operation of the soil vapor extraction (SVE) system from 22 December 2004 through 11 <br />' May 2005 (first and second quarters), performance of the first and second quarter ground water <br /> monitoring events on 02 March 2005 and 25-26 May 2005, respectively, and preparation of this <br /> report The location of the site and surrounding area are Illustrated on Figure 1 Mayor site features <br />' and monitoring well locations are Illustrated on Figure 2 <br /> Based on previous site Investigations, Including analytical results from cone penetrometer testing <br /> (CPT)and soil borings,AGE has developed a preliminary subsurface model ofthe hydrostratigraphy <br />' comprised of a vadose(unsaturated)zone and five hydrogeologic units(HUs) In general,HU2(from <br /> 25 to 32 feet below surface grade [bsg])and HU4 (from 40 to 53 feet bsg)are sand units comprised <br />' of silty to medium-grained sands, HUI (18 to 25 feet bsg), HU3 (32 to 40 feet bsg) and HU5 (53 to <br /> 100 feet bsg) are fine-grdmed Intervals comprised of silty clay/clayey silt soil, with localized <br /> occurrences of silty sand The current monitoring well network is screened through the upper four <br />' • hydrogeologic units(HUI through HU4) Additional background Information is summarized in the <br /> AGE-prepared Revised Remedial Action Work Plan, dated 16 April 1997 <br />' This report is prepared in accordance with guidelines Issued by the Central Valley Regional Water <br /> Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for the Investigation of underground storage tank(UST)sites <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br />' Procedures for operation and monitoring of the SVE system were described in an AGE-prepared <br /> modification letter, dated 04 February 2000 and approved by the EHD by letter dated 07 February <br /> 2000 Ground water monitoring procedures for the site were outlined in the AGE-prepared Interim <br />' Work Plan, dated 10 July 1995 and approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health <br /> Department (EHD) by letter dated 17 July 1995, as-built monitoring well construction details are <br /> summarized in Table I <br /> 21 SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION <br /> Between 22 December 2004 and, 11 May 2005, the SVE remediation system was continuously <br /> operational at the site The SVE ystem utilizes a regenerative vacuum blower and two 55-gallon <br /> carbon canisters Two-inch diameter, schedule 80 polyvinylchloride (PVC) piping is installed <br /> • underground from each well-head at wells`VW-1 through VW-9 to the inlet of the regenerative <br /> Advanced GeoEimronment$I,Inc <br />
