INTRODUCTION <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this Quarterly Report for 1045 West Charter <br /> Way,Stockton, California The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring <br /> well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> The objective of the work was to install a remediation system within the petroleum hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted core area, monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground water and <br /> to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report is prepared in <br /> accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health Services - <br /> I Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board(CVRWQCB) for investigation of underground storage tank(UST) sites A summary <br /> of previous investigations at the site was included in the Quarterly Report - February 1996, dated <br /> 17 May 1996, prepared by AGE <br /> 2.0. PROCEDURES <br /> In October and November 1998, seven soil vapor extraction(SVE) wells, five in-situ_ air sparging <br /> (IAS) wells and the underground IAS/SVE piping system were installed at the site, in December <br /> 1998, ground water monitoring and sampling was performed at the site on wells MW-I through <br /> - MW_9 T <br />' 21 INSTALLATION OF SOIL VAPOR EXTRACTION/IN-SITU AIR SPARGE WELLS <br /> On 30 October 1998, seven soil borings for installation of SVE wells (VW-3 through VW-9) and <br />' five soil borings for installation of IAS wells (AW-1 through AW-5) were advanced at the site as <br /> part of corrective action related to the UST formerly at the,site Soil borings VW-3 through VW-9 , <br /> were advanced vertically to depths of 20 feet below surface grade (bsg) utilizing a B-55 truck- <br /> mounted drill rig equipped with 8-inch diameter hollow stem augers, soil borings AW-1 through <br /> -AW-5 were advanced to 30 feet bsg utilizing a B-55 truck-mounted drill rig equipped with 8-inch <br />' diameter hollow stem augers Soil cuttings were stockpiled and covered on plastic sheeting at the -site in an area lacking public access The SVE and IAS well locations are depicted in Figure 2 <br /> I , <br /> r E <br /> Advanced GeoEn,ironmental,Inc <br />
