1 12 March 1999
AGE-NC Project No 95-0121
' • From August 1998 to December 1998, slight decreases in dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon
concentrations were observed from wells MW-1, MW-4 and MW-7 (Table 2) Conversely,
a slight Increase was observed from well MW-3
' • TPH-g was detected from wells MW-I through MW-4 and MW-7 at concentrations ranging r
up to 56,000 µg/l, TPH-d was detected from MW-1 through MW-4 and MW-7 at -
concentrations up to 6,400 µg/l, however, the laboratory reported that the diesel
chromatograms for the samples did not have typical diesel characteristics
• MTBE was confirmed in water samples collected from MW-1, MW-2 and MW-5 at
' concentrations ranging up to 120 µg/1, no other fuel oxygenates were detected above
laboratory reporting limits
• BTEX compounds were detected in ground water samples collected from wells MW-1
' through MW-4 and MW-7 at concentrations ranging as high as 13,000 ,ug/l (benzene,,MW-
3)
' • The elevated concentrations of petroleum hydrocarbons detected in samples collected from
weIIs MW-1 through MW-4 and MW-7 indicate that these wells are within or near the
dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon"core area" of the plume
5.4. RECOMMENDATIONS
IBased upon data collected from the site in December 1998, AGE recommends
• Operation of the on-site remediation system upon PG&E installation of electrical panel and
supplemental natural gas meter
• Continuation of quarterly monitoring, the next event should be scheduled for March 1999
6.0. LIMITATIONS
I
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities The findings were based upon
analytical results provided by an independent laboratory Evaluations of the geologic/hydrogeologic
conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited number of
available data points (i a monitoring wells), and subsurface conditions may vary away from these
data points No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made as to the professional
recommendations contained in this report
r
Advanced GeoEnviron mental,Inc
I
