' INTRODUCTION
_ At the request of Mr Dante John Nomelllni of Nomellinl Construction Co , Advanced, i_
GeoEnvironmental, Inc (AGE) has prepared this Quarterly Report for 1045 West Charter Way,
Stockton, California The location of the site and the immediately surrounding area are illustrated
'
on,Figure 1 Site structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2
2
The objective of the work was to monitor dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations in ground
' water and to characterize ground water flow direction and gradient on the site This report is
prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the San Joaquin County Public Health
' Services - Environmental Health Division (PHS-EHD) and by the Central Valley Regional Water
Quality Control Board(CVRWQCB)for investigation of underground storage`tank (UST) sites A
summary of previous investigations at the site was included in the Quarterly Report - February
1996, dated 17 May 1996,prepared by AGE
I
2.0. PROCEDURES
2 1 MONITORING WELL PURGE PROCEDURES
' i
On 11 August 1998, the depth to ground water in each monitoring well was measured to the nearest
0 01-foot utilizing a Solist water level meter Ground water elevations from MW-1 through MW-9
were then calculated by subtracting the measured depth to ground water from the relative casing
elevations (Table 1) Ground water elevations were plotted and contoured on a scaled site map
(Figure 3)
After water levels were measured, approximately twelve to eighteen gallons(minimum of three well
volumes per well) of water were purged from wells MW4 throughFMW-9 utilizing a two-stage
submersible pump Temperature, pH and conductivity were measured at regular intervals from each
well using an ICM Model 52200 water analyzer,to monitor for stabilization of these characteristics
I during purging Dissolved oxygen was measured in-water purged from each monitonng well using
a YSI Model 55 Dissolved Oxygen Meter following stabilization of the produced water Stabilization
data and field logs are included with Appendix A Purged ground water was containenzed in 55-
gallon drums and stored on-site in an area lacking general public access
1
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc
