Environmental Specialist <br /> with San Joaquin County and Ron Hlrshner. Fire Inspector with the <br /> City of Stockton <br /> NOTES: <br /> 1 — 1.000 gallon diesll and 1-10,000 gallon unleaded gasoline <br /> underground storage tanks were exhumed. The tanks had been In the <br /> Around since 1672 (diesll) and 1870 (unleaded). No petroleum odor <br /> from either tank excavation. Tanks appeared to be In good condition <br /> BUILDING Excavations (some rust. no visible holes). <br /> Backfill from excavation — predominately well graded, poorly sorted <br /> clayey sand with minor gravel. No odor and 0 ppm PID readings on <br /> all backfill plies except the small pile at the north end of the large <br /> (10K) excavation. This pile had a moderate diesll odor with HNU PID <br /> Q i 10K—N readings from 5-25 ppm. <br /> 1 <br /> 1K—N j� I I Four soil samples were collected (two from each excavation) using a <br /> I i I backhoe. Samples were taken from 3 to 4 feet Into native soil beneath <br /> 1K—S I I each end of the tanks. Samples 10K—N, 10K—S, and 1K—S consisted <br /> of SILTSTONE: medium brown, firm—sllphtly hard, triable, blocky, with <br /> l common clay, no petroleum odor and HNU PID readings of 0 pm. <br /> I O l 10K—S Sample 1K—N consisted of the same SILTSTONE: discolored to a light— <br /> I _� medium rey with a moderate to strong odor and a reading of 120ppm <br /> — on the AU PID. Samples were Immediately labled, placed on dry <br /> ice, and chain of custody hand delivered to Eureka Laboratory in <br /> MAP NOT TO SCALE Sacramento, CA. <br /> O SOIL SAMPLE LOCATION <br /> EUREKA LABORATORY INC..
