I
INDEPENDENT TRUCKING CO.
P.O. BOX 6698
STOCKTON, CA
VI
Linda Turkette I IR
San Joaquin County Public Health Services
Environmental Health Department
445 N. San Joaquin Street
Stockton, CA 95201
Re: Release Of Diesel From Above Ground Tanks-1145 W. Charter Way
Dear Linda:
As a follow-up to our telephone conversation last week, I am writing to confirm the correct
procedures for managing contaminated soil located at 1145 W. Charter Way.
1. Stockpiled soil can be disposed of at a properly licensed treatment or disposal facility. San Joaquin
County Public Health Services, Environmental Health Department requires "receipts" from the
treatment or disposal facility verifying delivery of soil and copies of the analytical data generated
from stockpile sampling.
2. Provide analytical data to support that the excavated area is"clean" non-detect. Once the results are
available and provided to San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Department, the excavated area can be backfilled.
3. If the analytical results representing the excavated area reveal that petroleum hydrocarbons still exist
in the soil, additional samples will need to be collected. Soil samples must be collected under the
supervision of San Joaquin County Public Health Services,Environmental Health Department.
If you have any questions regarding my interpretation of our telephone conversation and/or the
steps listed above, please telephone me at(209)466-5192.
Sincerely,
Independent Trucking Co-.
Eric D.Horton
Environmental Compliance Officer
CC: Judi Simon
Independent Trucking Co.
