•
samples are included as EXHIBIT K The landfill operator has
requested a 96 hour fish bioassay prior to accepting the
material, those results have not yet been received
DISCUSSION OF RESULTS OF ABOVE WORK
The results of the laboratory analyzes of the soil samples from
the monitoring wells are summarized on TABLE VIII, copies of the
lab reports, chains of custody & QA/QC are included as EXHIBIT G
The soil samples from all of the wells were below detection
limits for BTEX, TPH-G, & TRPH MW -1 & MW -2 were also tested for
purgable halocarbons, (EPA 8010,) results were below detection
limits
Laboratory results of soil samples from the 4 auger holes are
summarized on TABLE IX; copies of the lab reports, chains of
custody, and QA/QC are included as EXHIBIT H Soil samples from
Auger holes "B" & "D" were below detection limits for BTEX, TPH-G
& TRPH 8010 was not present in Auger hole "B" at the detection
limit used
Auger hole "A", adjacent to one of the entrances to the shop
building, revealed TRPH in the motor oil range from the soil
sample at 61611, but none below that depth BTEX & TPH-G were
detected at minor levels in the soil sample from 2616"; samples
above that depth were below detection levels Purgable
halocarbons, (EPA 8010,) were not detected at reporting limits
Auger hole "C", whish was placed where the product line had been
located, revealed minor amounts of toluene, xylene, TPH-G, and
TRPH as diesel from the soil sample at 616" This was just below
the bottom of the removed product line All other soil samples
were below detection limits
Groundwater was sampled in Auger holes "A" & "B" by use of a
hydropunch-type tool as discussed earlier The results of the
laboratory analyzes of those samples is summarized on TABLE X,
lab reports & other data are included as EXHIBIT I The water
sample from Auger hole "A" revealed high concentrations of BTEX &
TPH-G; TRPH was below detection limits. The reason for these
high levels cannot be readily explained with the data collected
to date
The hydropunch sample taken from Auger hole "B", which is located
in the center of the removed waste oil tank, showed minor amounts
of benzene & xylene, & 270 ug/L of diesel range organics
The results of water samples collected on July 10, 1995 after
12
