four (4) soil borings were placed on the property for the purpose
of determining the vertical & horizontal extent of soil and water
' contamination Their locations are shown on PLATE IV. Details
of that work are given in WJH report titled "Interim Report
covering Soil & Groundwater Investigation " dated August 29,
' 1995 The results of the laboratory analyses of that work are
summarized on TABLES VIII & IX, X, & XI
August 4 , 1995 - An 8" abandoned terracotta pipe was removed from
' the west side of the property - details are given in the above
referenced report
' February 2 , 1996 - A geophysical survey, (surface magnetometer)
was conducted over the southwest portion of the site and adjacent
property to the west (JM Equipment Co ) for the purpose of
locating any previously unknown UST' s None were identified
1
April 11, 12 , & 15 , 1996 - Ten (10) shallow soil/water probes
were placed on the property to further define the extent of
' contam.ipatlon The results of that work are discussed in the WJH
report titled "First Quarter 1996 Groundwater Monitoring Report
and results of soil probe work done at Independent Trucking
facility, 1145 W.
