(GTI), informing the EHD
that due to budgetary constraints, GTI requests the following changes to the interim remedial
plan:
• Inject hydrogen peroxide in injection wells IW-1 and IW-3 monthly instead of twice a
month through 2012; and
• Omit the fourth quarter 2012 groundwater monitoring for remedial performance
purposes.
GTI proposed to continue monthly injections of hydrogen peroxide in injection well IW-2 through
2012, resume groundwater monitoring during the first quarter 2013, and prepare and submit the
corrective action plan (CAP) (due to this agency on 14 December 2012). GTI further stated that
a change order has been submitted to the State Water Resources Control Board Underground
Storage Tank Cleanup Fund, and as additional monies become available, GTI anticipates a
continuation of the interim remedial plan and implementation of the CAP in the first half of 2013.
The EHD approves the reductions to the interim remedial plan as listed above and the
proposals presented by GTI and listed in the above paragraph as long as the monitoring
requirements of the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board are being met.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or by e-mail at
vmccartnev@sjcehd.com.
