2
Former J.M. Equipment Company October 9, 2 Page e 2
1245 West Charter Way
Stockton, California 95351
During the fourth quarter of the feasibility study, GTI implemented Interim Remedial Plan that
included modifying the feasibility study as follows:
Removal of the ORC Advance socks from IW-1 and termination of the study;
• Termination of the natural attenuation study of groundwater collected from control well
IW-3;
• Bimonthly injections of hydrogen peroxide into the former control injection well IW-3
and the former ORC Advanced well IW-1;
• Monthly injection of hydrogen peroxide into IW-2 instead of bimonthly;
• Continuation of air sparging operations in IW-4 (even through analytical data do not
support a continuation of this remedial method); and
• Quarterly groundwater monitoring for remedial performance, instead of monthly.
GTI has indicated that these changes to the pilot study would continue until there is
approval/(denial) of the CAP by the EHD; additional monies are allocated from the
underground Storage Tank Cleanup Fund to implement proposals presented in the CAP, and
final implementation of the CAP. Although the EHD was not consulted prior to implementing
these changes, the EHD approves the implementation of the Interim Remedial Plan based on
the findings provided in the report.
Please note that the currently approved groundwater monitoring program does not preclude
obtaining depth-to-water measurements in wells not scheduled for sampling if the data are
needed for groundwater gradient determination.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 468-9852 or by e-mail at
vmccartney(@sicehd.com.
Sincerely,
--
 Nuel C.
