EQUIPMENT COMPANY SITE CODE: 9401
1245 W CHARTER WAY CONTRACTOR #: 39000
STOCKTON CA 95206
The attached "Notice of Responsibility" is official notification that your site has been
assigned to the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health
Division's Local Oversight Program for oversight of assessment and clean up activities
at contaminated underground storage tank sites.
The goal of the site evaluation performed by Public Health Services, Environmental
Health Division (PHS-EHD) is to certify closures of underground storage tank leakage
sites pursuant to California Code of Regulations, Division 3, Chapter 16, Article 11
(Corrective Action Regulations). These regulations govern the investigation and
mitigation activities at leaking underground storage tank sites. To obtain a copy, please
contact the SWRCB at (916) 657-2390. Remedial Action Completion certification
occurs only after PHS-EHD has determined that no further site investigation or
remedial action is required.
PHS-EHD has completed a review of the workplan for monitoring well installation
prepared by Geological Technics, Inc., dated January 17, 1997, and offers the following
comments for your consideration.
Three monitoring wells exist on an adjacent property, located at 1145 W. Charter Way,
and should be incorporated into this investigation. The use of these wells will satisfy
the requirements for downgradient wells and will result in a significant savings in
investigative costs. Access to these wells for the duration of this investigation should
be negotiated with the adjacent property owner. PHS-EHD will provide assistance with
this task, if needed. A site map showing the location of these wells and a brief table of
results are attached for your reference.
1
A Division of San Joaquin County Health Care Services
