Judy Jensen, daughter of the Geo Corp entity, called Ray last week and wanted to have
a meeting with you and Jim to discuss if there is any way to get closure without the process of
remediation.
As to the timing of the meeting, it seemed logical to Ray that if any"change" of planned action at the
site was going to be entertained, it would have to be after we collect the geo-probe data and are
able to assess the condition of the site based on this current data, coupled with the ongoing GW
data we have.
There is no conflict or problem with county or RB on the handling of this project, they are just very
motivated to see if they can get closure and want to have a round table meeting about this. bo you
think that there is any significant progress being made at the Fund level that will change the
philosophy of when a site is eligible for closure. We are hearing some information that may lean in
that direction-any chance of this playing into the decision process of when a site (JM Equipment) is
eligible for closure? This is also at the forefront of our clients thinking. Certainly because they are
suspended, they are keeping current on the situation.
50, with all that said, we do agree that the geo-probe work needs to happen and the report
completed. I will let our clients know that this is the time table and once the report is close to
completion, we will schedule a meeting. We can put together an agenda for everyone to review prior
to the meeting.
Unless you have further comment, I will be in touch with you and Jim Barton some time after the
geo-probe work is done giving us plenty of time to schedule a meeting.
Thanks for your input Mike- I always appreciate it.
