Equipment, 1245 W. Charter Way, Stockton, CA
Cleanup Fund Claim No. 012607
[Regional Board (5) Case No. 390973, San Joaquin County LOP Case No. 94011
Dear Mr. Trommer:
On behalf of J.M. Equipment Inc., Geological Technics Inc. (GTI) is requesting a Cost Pre-
Approval affirmation for a proposed in-situ chemical oxidation Bench Scale Test (BST) at
the above referenced site. The purpose of the test is to determine if in-situ chemical
oxidation (ISCO) is an acceptable alternative to treat gasoline impacted soil and groundwater
at the site. A brief summary of the site's relevant history by date in bullet fashion has been
included to clarify our request for cost pre-approval:
• June 10, 2003- GTI submitted our "In-Situ Remediation Pilot Test" work plan for an in-
situ ozone/hydrogen peroxide injection pilot test.
• September 10, 2003- The San Joaquin County Environmental Health Division (SJC
EHD) issued approval of the work plan in their letter correspondence.
• March 19 to July 8, 2004- The hydrogen peroxide and ozone injection pilot test was
completed. This consisted of injecting liquid hydrogen peroxide and gaseous ozone into
a single monitoring well on a biweekly basis and then monitoring the contaminant
concentrations in the injection and adjacent wells.
