Before appr ing the proposed scope of work, SJCEHD needs additional
information to aid a aluation of the proposed future work.
1 . What was th length of the flexible polypropylene hose inserted through
the sealed c p, and specifically, what was the depth of the lower end of
the hose in tlie well?
2. The November 12, 2004 report states that after injection of the peroxide,
gaseous oxy en was introduced into the tubing to force the solution out of
the well and nto the formation. The March 7, 2005 document states that
gaseous ozo ie was injected into MW-9 for two hours and that "this forces
water out of i be well into the formation". The report also states that
gaseous oxy en was injected for one hour to "keep(s) water in the
formation for one hour..."after which decaying pressure allowed water
flow back int the well. How did GTI verify that the water vacated the well
casing and went into the formation? Please supply this data to SJCEHD
for evaluation.
3. The Novemb 3r 12, 2004 report states that ozone was injected for a two-
hour period at a rate of 15 standard liters per minute (slm). Following
ozone injection, the well was purged with gaseous oxygen at 25 slm and
allowed to re ch equilibrium for a one-hour period. What conditions
constituted a uilibrium? Constant pressure, constant flow rate, or was this
the period of oressure decay? Was gaseous oxygen still introduced at 25
slm during a uilibrium?
4. How were ground water samples obtained following the ozone/gaseous
oxygen injecl on tests?
