Both e County and Regional Board recommend that J.M. Equipment <br /> assume responsibility for s me of the wells at Independent Trucking. Ray and I both agree with <br /> this suggestion as it will g've J. M. Equipment additional monitoring wells to help define the <br /> groundwater plume withol,t the cost of having to install them. <br /> J.M. Equipment will be re ponsible for the proper abandonment of these wells once you receive <br /> closure for your site. The osts associated with the well abandonment are reimbursable from the <br /> fund. <br /> I have attached the memos from the County and Regional Board as well as a map that shows the <br /> well locations. We recomi nend that you would take over MW-1, MW-2, MW-3, MW-8 and <br /> MW-9. MW-9 is the well that is on your property. <br /> You may want to discuss t iis with you legal staff and have them draft a transfer agreement as <br /> well as an access agreemei it so we can enter the Independent Trucking site to sample the wells. <br />
