e0`0gicaC TeChg CS Inc.
2741 River Road
Modesto,California 95351
' (209)538-6424/Fax#538-5852
REPORT
Groundwater Monitoring
4th Quarter 2001
J.M. Equipment Com an
Company
1245 West Charter Way
Stockton, Cahfornia
Project No 507 2
January 17, 2002
EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
This report summarizes the results of the 4`h Quarter 2001 groundwater monitoring and
sampling event that took place on December 4, 2001 For this event, the average
' groundwater elevation at the site was —8 38 feet mean sea level (msl) and the groundwater
flow was N4°W at 0 001 ft/ft However, groundwater does flow towards the east in the
eastern portion of the site Vertical groundwater gradient calculations between MW-9 &
109 show that groundwater is flowing downward at approximately seven times horizontal
gradient Well MW-6 was not sounded or sampled due to several inches of rainwater that
had ponded in the area around the well
1 The analytical results of groundwater samples show that detectable concentrations of BTEX
and TPH-G were present in five of the site's eleven groundwater monitoring wells The
magnitude of the contamination in the wells is consistent with historical site data The fuel
oxygenate compound MTBE was detected in two of the wells The fuel additive Ethanol
was also detected In two of the wells
Thexi
O dation-Reduction Potential measurements show that nine of eleven of the
1 monitoring wells are within the halo of reaction depleted water caused by biodegradation of
the contamination plume
