In addition this documer t presents a summary of site conditions <br /> that indicate that case closure may be appropriate for I his site. <br /> The subject site is located on the northeast corner of E st Charter Way and Airport Way in a <br /> mixed commercial/residential area of Stockton,California (Figure 1). The former site layout <br /> included two station buildings,three fuel underground storage tanks (USTs), and four <br /> dispenser islands (Figure 2). The subject site is currently a vacant lot. <br /> INTERIM-REMEDIATION SYSTEM SHUTDOWN REQUEST <br /> Shell recently performed an internal review of the performance of the temporary groundwater <br /> extraction(GWE) system operating at this site to evalt Late its effectiveness at removing <br /> 1,2-dichloroethane (1,2-DCA) from the groundwater I eneath the site. This evaluation included <br /> looking at the 1,2-DCA concentration trends,cumulat ve mass removal,and the cost of <br /> operation to remove 1,2-DCA.
