C A M B R I A
ANTICIPATED THIRD QUARTER 2004 ACTIVITIES
Blaine will gauge and sample the site wells according to the existing sampling schedule and
tabulate the data Cambria will prepare a groundwater monitoring report Cambria is prepared to
start field investigation activities upon receipt of the necessary permits and access agreements
ANALYTICAL REDUCTION REQUEST
Analysis of groundwater samples for fuel oxygenates and lead scavengers has been done at this
site for five quarters Di isopropyl ether (DIPE), ethyl tertiary butyl ether (ETBE), tertiary amyl
methyl ether (TAME), methanol, ethanol, and ethylene dibromide (EDB) have not been detected
in any of the groundwater samples collected from this site As this site is no longer an operating
service station and historical analytical data has shown that these compounds are not present in
the groundwater beneath the site, we recommend that analysis for DIPE, ETBE, TAME,
methanol, ethanol, and EDB be discontinued
Since methyl tertiary butyl ether (MTBE), tertiary butyl alcohol (TBA) and 1,2-dichloroethane
(1,2-DCA) have been detected in groundwater beneath this site, we will continue quarterly
sampling and analysis for these compounds in all wells Groundwater sample analysis for total
petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes will also
continue on a quarterly basis We will implement the proposed changes to the quarterly
sampling program for this site once we have received approval from EHD
0854 2
