A M B R I A
groundwater analytical data collected confirms that TPHg, BTEX, and fuel oxygenates are a
minor concern at this site
The primary focus of this investigation was to evaluate the extent of 1,2-DCA in groundwater
beneath the site Soil samples collected from the well bonngs drilled during this investigation
did not contain detectable levels of 1,2-DCA Soil samples collected from prior investigations at
this site did not contain detectable levels of 1,2-DCA Therefore we conclude that 1,2-DCA is
either not present in soil beneath the site or may be present to a limited extent, and is not a
significant concern at this site
Groundwater analytical data collected from the CPT boring indicate the lateral extent of 1,2-
DCA in shallow groundwater appears to be limited to the southeastern portion of the site
Two of the five deep (91 to 92 fbg) groundwater samples collected from the CPT borings
contained low levels (0 75 and 7 4 ppb) of 1,2-DCA
The highest levels of 1,2-DCA have been detected to shallow groundwater samples collected
• from well MW-1 Lower levels of 1,2-DCA have been detected in wells MW-2, MW-5, MW-6,
and MW-7 The concentration of 1,2-DCA appears to decline with increased distance away from
well MW-1 These data suggest the extent of 1,2-DCA in groundwater does not extend much
more than 100 feet from the property boundary
RECOMMENDATIONS
Cambria recommends incorporating wells MW-6 through MW-9 into the existing groundwater
monitoring and sampling program on a quarterly basis to determine if there are seasonal
fluctuations in the observed groundwater elevations, flow direction, and chemical concentrations
over time
1511 6
