Report-Groundwater Invej.,gation
First Student Bus Facility(Former A.W. Hayes Facility)
2005 Navy Drive—Stockton, CA
The EHD had not received any reports of investigation for this Site since the installation
and sampling of the four (4) monitoring wells was submitted in June 2004. As a result,
the EHD requested the submittal of quarterly reports as required in the California Code of
Regulations (CCR) Section 2652 (d), until a No Further Action (NFA) is issued by the
lead regulatory agency.
In October 2008, KR Environmental contacted the EHD regarding the future work
required at the Site. The EHD informed KR Environmental that during an inspection of
the Site, MW-2 could not be located. As such, the EHD requested KR Environmental to
find the location of MW-2; re-develop the monitoring wells; sample the monitoring wells
and have the samples analyzed for TPH-g, TPH-d and volatile organic compounds
(VOCs); have the monitoring wells surveyed according to GeoTracker specifications; and
submit all reports of work performed, all sampling data, site maps, etc. to GeoTracker as
specified in the CCR Sections 3890 through 3894 for contaminated UST sites.
In November 2008, KR Environmental sampled groundwater monitoring wells MW-1,
MW-3 and MW-4, and attempted to identify the location of MW-2. Groundwater
samples collected from the three wells (MW-1, MW-3 and MW-4) indicated that TPHd
and TPI-Ig were not detected in any of the three (3) wells, and that VOCs were detected in
the groundwater samples collected from MW-1 and MW-4, but were not detected in the
groundwater sample collected from MW-3. Finding the location of MW-2 was
unsuccessful in November 2008. Findings during the November 2008 sampling event are
summarized in the KR Environmental Report entitled " Report, Groundwater
Investigation, First Student Bus Facility (Former A.W. Hayes Facility) 2005 Navy Drive
—Stockton, CA 95206(Site Code: 2546).
3.0 SCOPE OF WORK
This groundwater investigation included conducting the following tasks:
A. FINDING THE LOCATION OF MONITORING WELL MW-2
B. GROUNDWATER SAMPLE COLLECTION
(including Groundwater Flow Direction and Gradient)
C. LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF GROUNDWATER SAMPLES
2
