The collected samples
were labeled with a sample identification number, date, time, sampler's identification and
requested analysis, and placed into an ice cooled chest with a completed Chain-of-
Custody.
Groundwater Flow Direction and Gradient
On November 12, 2008, monitoring wells MW-1, MW-3 and MW-4 were surveyed by
Snow Surveying; a State of California licensed surveying company. The wells were
surveyed to the State Water Resources Control Board Geotracker specification, as stated
in Section 2729.1 of Title 23, Division 3, Chapter 16, Underground Tank Regulations,
California Code of Regulations. Latitude and longitude were surveyed to accuracy of
0.01 foot.
The groundwater flow direction and gradient were determined using current sounding
measurements. The groundwater flow direction measured beneath the Site was
approximately south 48° west with an average gradient of 0.014 ft/ft. Elevations for
groundwater encountered in each of the monitoring wells are summarized in Table 2, and
the groundwater flow direction at the Site is illustrated on Figure 2—Site Plan.
4
