Reporting: Aay fire or explosion should be reported immediately to the local fire department or by dialing 911. 3.Fire Fighting Acthities: a.F'ar'e Department The facility will rely prinmrtlyupon the local fee department far response to a fire or explosion at the facility. The facility is not equipped,mor,are persoanel named to respond to anything except the smallest fire.A fire in a hashcm or in a pile of rags could be an example ofa small fire. b.Facility Fire Fighting Activities: i.Fite Fighting Equipment: Facility equipment is limited to small,hand-held extinguishers.Properly rased,these extinguishers can pan out a small tee or control A until the fire department areives. Portable fire extinguishers are not designed to for huge or spreading fires. These extinguishers carry notations that indicate which class of fire they can be used to fight. HL Use of a Portable Fire Extinguisher: There are general guidelines that apply to the use of portable fee exfingunhers.
