The EHS Manager was not sure if any
of the items were a hazardous waste.
-The hazardous waste sampling process for the rinse tanks was unclear. The EHS Manager was not sure how the
samples were handled after they were taken. A separate, complete hazardous waste determination needs to be
done for each tank in the process. Immediately submit the SDSs for the chemicals in each tank and make a
complete hazardous waste determination.
-A paint powder coating is baked and thrown into the trash.
-Paint rags are thrown into the trash.
-Paint waste was observed on the ground. The EHS Manager is not sure how the waste is disposed of.
Any person who generates a waste shall determine if the waste is a hazardous waste. Immediately locate a copy of the waste analysis conducted for the wastes
listed above and submit copies to the EHD.
