If the label is incorrect, contact the <br />appropriate person. If no alarm is triggered, <br />remove the sensor from the container, check the <br />connections, allow the liquid to drain from the <br />sensor and immerse it into the liquid again. If the <br />sensor is replaced, repeat the test procedure. <br />4. Remove the sensor from the test container and <br />allow the liquid to drain to clear the alarm. If <br />product is used as the test liquid, follow the <br />manufacturer's instructions for cleaning the <br />sensor before it is replaced. <br />5. Reinstall the sensor in the proper location and <br />position. <br />6. Clear the alarm condition on the console. If <br />equipped with a printer, print the alarm report <br />for facility records and indicate that a sensor <br />functionality test was conducted. <br />7. Dispose of product -contaminated water accord- <br />ing to the guidelines in Section 6.7. <br />8.3.7 Pass/Fall Criteria. If a sensor triggers an <br />alarm when the alarm condition is simulated, and <br />the sensor is correctly identified on the console, the <br />sensor passes the test. <br />If the sensor does not trigger an alarm when the <br />alarm condition is simulated, the sensor fails the <br />test. If the sensor is not correctly identified on the <br />console, notify the appropriate person to obtain <br />authorization to correct the sensor identification. <br />8.4 Discriminating Sensors. The functionality of dis- <br />criminating liquid sensors can be determined with the test <br />method described in Section 8.3.6 and substituting the <br />appropriate product for water. <br />pei.org 0 <br />
