After cleaning, be sure <br />any resJdual solvent has evaporated before applying <br />adhesive. DO NOT USE SOLVENTS THAT LEAVE <br />AN OILY FILM ON THE BONDING SURFACES. <br />WARNING: Some degreaser and solvents are cx- <br />Qtrertlely flammable. Be sure to read warning la- <br />bels on containers. Never use gasoline, turpen- <br />tine, or diesel fuel to dean jolrlts. <br />If you have any questions, please contact your Smith <br />Fiberglass representative. <br />b. liepairing Weathered Surfaces (11V Degre(latinn) <br />When machined surfaces of pipe and tidings arc <br />exposed to direct sunlight, the result is a loss of <br />bond strength. All machined surfaces that have <br />turned yellow or brown in color must be repaired. <br />For exposed spigot ends including T.A.B. dircads, <br />cut h" minimum off of the end of the spigot and <br />retaper. Exposed hells should be lightly sanded <br />with an 80 to 120 grit sandpaper or eniery cloth <br />until the original white color is returned.
