Since these containers have been on site longer than 180 days, immediately contact a <br />licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy of the <br />manifest to the EHD. <br />804 & 808 & 809. Failed to properly manage Universal Waste (UW) lamps. Failed to properly label type <br />of UW. Stored UW on site longer than 1 year. <br />- Dry Storage warehouse: are several universal waste fluorescent tubes in the shelves. The north wing, <br />the tubes are flat horizontally against a wooden pallet. In the south wing, the tubes are angled slightly <br />vertically against a wooden box. <br />- Outdoors Compressor area: one large light bulb found in a blue poly 55 gallon drum <br />Universal waste must be contained in a structurally sound package/ container adequate to prevent <br />breakage and to contain spillage. Any broken lamps must be placed in a container that will prevent <br />leakage, spillage or damage that could cause leakage or releases of mercury or other hazardous <br />constituents to the environment. UW must be marked "Universal Waste" and type of waste. UW can be <br />stored on site for up to 1 year of start accumulation date. Correct by placing all UW fluorescent tubes <br />into a structurally sound container, labeled as "Universal Waste - fluorescent tubes" along with start <br />accumulation date. Since it is unknown how long these UW lamps have been on site, have them be <br />properly disposed at an authorized hazardous waste disposal facility and submit a copy of disposal <br />receipt to EHD. <br />808 & 809. Failed to properly label type of UW. Stored UW on site longer than 1 year. <br />- Dryer Plant: one computer monitor in the Dryer control room <br />- Main office upstairs: six computer monitors and two CPUs <br />- Maintenance Trailer: television monitor, key board <br />UW must be marked "Universal Waste" and type of waste. UW can be stored on site for up to 1 year of <br />start accumulation date. Correct by labeling as "Universal Waste - electronic devices" along with start <br />accumulation date.
