5.0 PURGE WATER DISPOSAL <br /> Approximately 145 gallons of purge water was generated during this sampling event <br />' The purge water was placed in three 55-gallon drums, which were staged on the edge <br /> of the concrete apron on the south side of the meat packing plant building, in front of <br /> the Maintenance Shop entrance Zacky's Plant Engineer, Mr Bob Watts, approved the <br /> location of the drums The purge water from well MW-5 and MW-6 was placed in a <br /> holding tank prior to discharging the water into two drums The purge water from well <br /> ' MW-4 was placed in a single drum <br /> Based on the analytical data for the groundwater sample from MW-4 (non-detect for <br /> TPH-D), MW-4 purge water will be discharged to the lawn area on Site As TPH-D was <br /> detected in well MW-5, and the purge water from MW-5 was mixed with MW-6, these <br /> two drums of purge water may need to be disposed of off-site The TPH-D <br /> concentration of the 109 gallons of mixed purge water is roughly 145 pg/L GeoTrans <br /> will determine if it's acceptable with the EHD to discharge this water to the lawn area <br /> along with the MW-4 purge water if off-site disposal is required, GeoTrans can <br /> coordinate this task for an additional fee and document the disposal under separate <br /> cover <br /> r <br /> P1PROJECTS\Satewayr\L528\GW_Raport doc 5 <br /> rGeOTrans ,n,, <br />
