Groundwater Monitoring Report for IER
Safeway Meat Processing Plant located at
1111 Navy Drive , Stockton, California
Dear Mr. Sasson
This letter transmits the results of groundwater sampling
conducted by ERM-West in July 1994 at the Safeway site in Stockton
Groundwater samples were last collected during the second quarter of 1994.
Analyses of samples collected at that time showed diesel fuel detections at very
low levels, consistent with previous data as far back as 1991 In July 1994 (third
quarter sampling), samples were analyzed for total petroleum hydrocarbons
. (TPH) as diesel by EPA Method 8015 (Modified) A Coliform sample from MW-6
was submitted to the laboratory but analyses was incomplete due to biological
interferences in the sample water. The detection limit for diesel analysis was 50
ug/1 Results of the sampling are summarized in Table 1
Table 1
July 1994 Analytical Results
Sample TPH Total Coliform
MW-4 200 ug/l N/A
MW-5 670 ug/l N/A
MW-6 300 ug/l N/A
k-- -Original laboratory reports and-copies of Chain=of-Cugtody forms are included
with this letter
Table 2 shows the measured groundwater elevations at the three monitoring
wells A potentiometric groundwater elevation map prepared from the
groundwater measurements is also attached to this letter
S 7-.,59 11a; I Zijrj
AUG 2 9 1594
ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH
PERMIT/SERVICES
A Member of the Environmental
Resources Management Group
