• • Project No. 014-95262 <br /> Page No. 2 <br /> It is the responsibility of the above-designated safety officers and task leaders to: <br /> • Implement, the site safety training program for all project field team members as <br /> described in this document. <br /> • Assure that all field personnel have read and understand this Health and Safety <br /> Plan. <br /> • Establish effective traffic and pedestrian control around the subject site. <br /> • Insure that adequate site security is maintained. <br /> • Perform work place surveillance for flammable/explosive conditions and insure <br /> that there is a portable fire extinguisher located on-site. <br /> • Observe activities to insure the proper use of personal protective equipment such <br /> ' as hard hats, protective eyewear, coveralls (Tyvek® etc,...), respirators, gloves, <br /> and steel-toe boots, etc. <br /> ' Inspect safety equipment for use by all field personnel to insure that it has been <br /> maintained and is in a useable condition. <br /> ' Shut down or modify field work activity based on the criteria presented in Section <br /> 11.0. <br /> • Initiate outside emergency phone calls when an emergency or accident requires <br /> medical attention. <br /> ' Insure that all field personnel meet or exceed the minimum requirements for health <br /> and safety training, medical monitoring, and respiratory fit testing as required by <br /> OSHA 29 CFR 1910.120. <br /> All field personnel will have a responsibility to: <br /> • Read understand, and follow this plan. <br /> • Perform work safety. <br /> • Cooperate with all safety personnel. <br /> • Report any unsafe conditions to the immediate supervisor. <br /> ` Be aware and alert for signs and symptoms of potential exposure to site <br /> contaminants and health concerns. <br /> ' Attend the site safety training program/meeting. <br /> rKRAZAN&ASSOCIATES, INC. <br /> Offices Serving the Western United States <br /> 93362.HSP <br />
