Food products are
expired over a year ago. Complainant stated Winco brand frozen chicken had a hole on th a wrapper/bag and the hole was
black. Complainant stated that food doesn't seem to be distributed fairly. Fresh vegetables like corn were not given to the
public with out request. Complainant sent pictures of expired food packages to KCRA 3.
VIOLATIONS AND CORRECTIVE ACTIONS
Items listed on this report as violations do not meet the requirements set forth in the California Health and Safety Code commencing with section 7;
113700.All violations must be corrected within specified timeframe. Violations that are classified as"MAJOR"pose an immediate threat to public health
and have the potential to cause foodborne illness. All major violations must be corrected immediately.Non-compliance may warrant immediate closure of
the food facility.
OVERALL INSPECTION NOTES AND COMMENTS
FOOD ITEM--LOCATION--TEMP°F--COMMENTS
No Temperature Data Collected
NOTES
Spoke to ware house employee who was aware of this complaint. He stated that a lady called in the same day that she
received her donation. They told her that she does not have to keep the products if she doesn't want them. The expired
product was fruit cups that had a best by date from October. Employee stated that food distribution is as follows: Food is laid
down on tables and people choose what they want.Vegetables are placed in bags and variety varies. If some thing is wrong
all she had to do was to ask for some thing else.
Observations:All pallets with food are dated when product comes in. Some food have a best by date that is past their date.
The state does not enforce"best by date"for regular food. It only enforces it for baby food and formula. Saw frozen chicken
drumsticks at the large walk in freezer and at the small freezer. None of the packaging was compromised. The brand for the
poultry was"Sun Land".
The person in charge is responsible for ensuring that the above mentioned facility is in compliance with all applicable sections of the California Health and
Safety Code.If a reinspection is required, fees will be assessed at the current hourly rate.
Received by: Name and Title: jimmy, warehouse manager
EH Specialist: MARIBEL FLOHRSCHUTZ Phone: (209)953-7817
FA0012286 C00041486 SCO04 05/10/2016
EHD 16-23 Rev.06/30/15 Page 1 of 1 Food Program Complaint Inspection Report
