AZURE <br /> �-E.NVIRONMENTAL. <br /> After pressure grouting the three wells, the well boxes . ere removed and each well was <br /> overdrilled to a depth of three feet below grade using 10-inch diameter augers to excavate the <br /> PVC well casings and surrounding materials. The cement grout.sealing material in the upper . <br /> portion of the well casing was allowed to fill the bottoin of the overdrill excavation and was <br /> topped off to form a one-foot thick cement"mushroo cap". After allowing the cement to <br /> stiffen,the,cement cap was covered with a few,inches of compacted clean fill and base rock. The <br /> ground surface at each well location was restored to surface grade using cement patch. Waste <br /> material generated during the well destruction activitie 3,consisted of a small alnour,it.of broken <br /> concrete and well box materials that were disposed in I he station dumpster. <br /> CONCLUSIONS <br /> Three monitoring wells were,properly destroyed.at the Site on May 26, 2009 in accordance with <br /> the No Further Action concurrence in.the RWQCB's ay5, 2009 letter and SJCEHD well <br /> destruction permit requirements.
