(Ultramar) to
conduct quarterly ground water monitoring at Ultramar Station No. 696 located at
2448 West Kettleman Lane, Lodi, California The location of the site is shown in Figure 1 This
letter report contains results of the most recent quarterly ground water monitoring performed at the
site Ground water table elevations were measured and ground water samples were collected for
analysis on September 15, 1992. Work conducted at the site by Delta was performed in accordance
with the field methods and procedures described in Enclosure A.
Ground-Water Table_Elevation, Flow Directions_and Hydraulic Gradient
A total of 23 monitoring wells are present at and adjacent to the site as shown in Figure 2
Monitoring wells MW-20, MW-34, MW-35, and MW-36 contained measurable ground water on
September 15, 1992 Ground water was not present in other monitoring wells at the site The depth
to ground water ranged from 56 18 to 56 75 feet below the top of the well casings Ground water
table elevations in the monitoring wells have decreased approximately 2 5 feet since the previous
monitoring event in June 1992. A water table contour map constructed from the ground water table
measurements collected on September 15, 1992, is shown in Figure 3 The inferred direction of
ground water flow across the site was toward the south-southwest and the hydraulic gradient was
approximately 0 002, which is consistent with previous ground water table data. A summary of the
ground water table elevations recorded at the site since February 1991 are included in Table 1
Subjective Analysis
No evidence of free-phase petroleum product or sheen was detected in monitoring wells at the site
during the September 1992 site visit
Analytical Results
} Ground water samples collected from monitoring wells MW-20, MW-34, MW-35, and MW-36 on
September 15, 1992, were submitted to a California-certified laboratory for analysis of benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylenes (BTEX), and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) as gasoline
Delta Delivers Solutions
