Laboratory Analysis <br /> The groundwater samples were analyzed by Argon Laboratories, a state-certified <br /> laboratory located in Ceres, California The samples were analyzed for the presence of <br /> total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline (TPHg) and benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, <br /> total xylenes (BTEX) using Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Methods 8015 <br /> (modified) and 8020 Copies of the Iaboratory report and chain-of-custody <br /> documentation for the groundwater samples are presented in Attachment 3 No TPHg <br /> or BTEX were detected at or above laboratory detection limits in any groundwater <br /> samples collected trom the site monitoring wells Table 2 summarizes all past and <br /> current groundwater analytical results <br /> Hvdrogeology <br /> A potentiometric surface map (Figure 3) has been prepared using groundwater level <br /> measurements collected on May 25, 1995, and the surveyed elevation data (Table 1) <br /> The groundwater flow direction was toward the northeast with an average gradient of <br /> approximately 0 0013 tt/ft <br /> Conclusions and Recommendations <br /> Current groundwater conditions beneath the site (Table 2) suggest that groundwater in <br />. the vicinity of the former fuel storage tank has not been significantly impacted by <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> Based upon non-detect results of groundwater samples collected in May 1995, Smith <br /> Environmental proposes to dispose of purged groundwater by discharge to the surface <br /> resulting in evaporation of purged groundwater <br /> Resorting Requirements <br /> Smith Environmental recommends a copy of this report be forwarded to Ms Linda <br /> Turkatte at the San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Environmental Health <br /> Division (PHS/EHD), P O Box 388, Stockton, California 95201-0388 A copy should <br /> also be forwarded to Ms Elizabeth Thayer at the California Regional Water Quality <br /> Control Board, Central Coast Region (CRWQCB), 3443 Routier Rd , Suite A <br /> Sacramento, California 95287-3098 <br /> N 115000MPTS95 do,- 2 <br />
