The following items are <br /> required to be inspected at least daily: <br /> 1. overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3.data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks,the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 512 CCR 66265.192(h) Failure to obtain an assessment or reassessment of a hazardous waste tank system. <br /> Tank assessments for the used oil and used antifreeze tanks was not available during the inspection. The last tank <br /> assessment was done 11/19/2010. The owner or operator of a hazardous waste tank shall obtain a written <br /> assessment reviewed and certified by an independent,qualified, professional engineer, registered in California <br /> attesting that the system has sufficient structural integrity, is acceptable for the transferring, storing, and treating of <br /> hazardous waste, and that the tanks and containment system are suitably designed. Immediately submit a copy of <br /> the tank assessment for the used oil and used antifreeze tanks or have an assessment prepared and submit a copy <br /> of the final tank assessments to the EHD. <br /> This is a Class II violation. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a)Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> One white plastic tank of used antifreeze was observed in the basement without an accumulation start date. <br /> Disposal records were unavailable for review during the inspection. Since it cannot be determined how long the <br /> hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste <br /> under manifest.
