Project Plan
Revision 6
1/8/1988
designed to check each analytical step in order to assure an accurate and
precise analytical result. The QA/QC procedures for each analytical step
are as follows.
5.1.1 St® Preparation
All analytical standards are prepared from Standard grade chemicals
(>99% purity) and well documented.
5.1.1.1 Stock Standard
Stock standard solution can be good for one year.
1 5.1.1.2 Worki.n Standard
Working standard solution is diluted directly from stock solution and
is only good for 6 months. Working stadard solution should be checked
daily check sample when the method is used. I % deviation of check
s le is greater than 15% for organics and 10% to 20% for Inorganic as
specified in the method, a fresh working standard should be made to replace
the old one.
5.1.2 Instrument Calibration
5.1.2.1 Organic
' Five concentration levels are run to set up calibration curve for each
analyte. The middle level of working standard should be used as a
calibration check. Calibration check should be run every 24 hours to
assure the validity of the calibration curve whenever the method is used.
If the % of deviation of calibration check is greater than 15%, a new
calibration curve should be set up to replace the original one.
' 5.1.2.2 Inor anic
Two to three levels of working standards are run to set up the

19
