Sample Management Personnel must fill out SM -02 Internal <br />chain-of-custody/Sample Tracking Record under part 4. Sample <br />Disposal/Return Record is filled out after sample is disposed or returned <br />to client a completed SM -02 is to be returned to Sample Manager for filing <br />(one copy with samples and one to be put with SM -01 for sample log file). <br />9.0 Sample Extracts and Standards <br />o All sample extracts and standard solutions involved in the analysis <br />should be maintained under strict security. Lock these solutions in secure <br />areas when not in use. <br />® Label clearly any solution prepared for future analysis. <br />Label <br />with identity of the content and date prepared. <br />o Sample extract and standard solution integrity should be documented <br />on analysis worksheet. <br />o All standards, both bulk and working solutions should be kept <br />secured along with any primary reagent standard. Reagents, solvents, and <br />other chemicals may be kept in general storage provided periodic check for <br />contaminants and degradation is performed. <br />o Date all sample extracts. <br />o Date and initial standard work solutions. <br />10.0 Analysis Documentation <br />o All calibration and continuing calibration specifics must be <br />documented. Any instrument tuning data must also be documented using <br />appropriate forms. <br />M <br />
