All required filings were
completed and sent to DTSC by the March 15, 2006 deadline extension.
Hazardous Waste Reports are required by Title 40 Code of Federal Regulations (40CFR)
Sections 3002 and 3004, and California Code of Regulations, Title 22 Sections 66262.41. Each
facility that generates hazardous waste must be classified as a large quantity generator
(Federal LQG-RCRA), small quantity (SQG) generator or a "California Only" waste handler. A
large quantity generator is described as a facility that generated RCRA wastes in excess of
1,000 kg (2,200 lbs) or 1 kg (2.2 lbs) of acute hazardous waste in any one month during 2005
or the site generated or accumulated at any time more than 100kg (220 lbs) of spill cleanup
material contaminated with RCRA acute hazardous waste. A RCRA large quantity generator is
required to prepare a Hazardous Waste (Biennial) Report. When quantities of RCRA
hazardous waste were generated in any one month that were less than the maximum of 1,000
kg (2,200 lbs) or I kg (2.2 lbs) of acute hazardous waste, the facility was considered a RCRA
small quantity generator (SQG).
This copy is to be filed in your facility environmental records. This packet contains the
following document:
1. A copy of the 2005 Hazardous Waste Report Site Identification and GM forms.
The Hazardous Waste Reports must be retained on site and be made available to agency
inspectors should they arrive at your facility and request these documents.
All questions should be directed to me on extension 223-9670.
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
DON GILBERT
DRGilbert(223-9670)
Enclosure
CC: Larry Deniston
