A crack was observed in the secondary containment for the K-1 and K-2 electric compressors. Oil was observed on the crack, on piping below the crack, and on the ground. During the inspection, absorbent was applied to the oil on the ground and the above crack and pipe were cleaned. Facilities shall be maintained and operated to minimize the possibility of a fire, explosion, or release of hazardous waste to air, soil, or surface water which could threaten human health or the environment. Immediately fix the leak,and manage according to Title 22 hazardous waste regulations. Submit a statement when the crack is repaired and how the waste was managed. This is a minor violation. Overall Inspection Comments: Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting paperwork, by May 10, 2019.
