The pesticide waste container was observed without the physical state, <br /> or hazardous properties. All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> -the words"Hazardous Waste" <br /> -name and address of generator <br /> -hazardous properties <br /> -physical state <br /> -composition(contents) <br /> -accumulation start date <br /> Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br /> information.After inspection,the facility lab director labeled the pesticide waste with the hazardous properties, and <br /> physical state, and other facility personnel labeled the oil filters, and metal shavings. <br /> This was corrected on site. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> Overall Inspection Comments: <br /> Onsite for routine hazardous waste inspection. <br /> Note: The four, five gallon containers storing used oil filters, and metal fines did not have a lid. All hazardous <br /> waste containers shall be closed at all times except when adding or removing waste. Immediately close these <br /> containers and ensure all hazardous waste containers are closed when not adding or removing waste. Facility <br /> personnel closed the containers during inspection. <br /> Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br /> documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br /> paperwork, within 30 days of receipt of this report. <br /> Please be aware as of January 1, 2013, all businesses are required to submit all hazardous materials <br /> information online to the California Environmental Reporting System (CERS)at http-.//cers.calepa.ca.gov.
