> STOCKTON
METROPOLITAN
AIRPORT
October 2, 1989
M E M O R A N D U M
TO: Stockton Metropolitan Airport Tenants
FROM: Dan DeAngelis ,
Deputy Airport Manager/Operations
RE: Disposal of Used Aircraft Engine Oil
COUNTY OF SAN /OAQUIN
DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION
George L. Spadalore
Airport Manager
Please be advised that as an added service to our airport tenants, the
Department of Aviation is providing waste oil drums for the disposal
of used aircraft engine oil only.
These oil drums are located between gate 16 and the west end of the
"K" Hangars on a concrete pad within the restricted area of the
airport.
A metal cash box will be mounted next to the disposal site to help
offset our costs for having the used oil pumped and removed as
required by law. A minimal charge of 50G per gallon is requested and
is strictly on the honor system.
We sincerely hope that this additional service will alleviate any
problems you have had in locating an approved container for the dispo-
sal of used aircrat engine oil, and at the same time eliminate the
illegal dumping of oil in trash receptacles and at other unauthorized
locations.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
DD:dsg
c: County Aviation Advisory Committee
Michael McGrew, Deputy County Counsel
Richard Pietz, County Risk Manager
George Wells, Deputy Fire Warden
Jerry Herzick, Deputy Director Building Inspection
Charles Hunt, Sanitarian, Environmental Health Division
Y11
5000 SOUTH AIRPORT WAY • TERMINAL BUILDING, ROOM 202 • STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA 95206 • /b9428,X4a?0-
