Environmental Health Department <br />Large Quantity Hazardous Waste Generator Inspection Report <br />Date: <br />January 02, 2019 <br /> Facility Address: <br /> 2800 AUTO PLAZA WAY, Tracy <br /> Facility Name: <br /> Tire and Brake Pros <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />(CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR - Notice to Comply) <br />RemarksItem # <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br />-One white plastic 55 gallon drum of used antifreeze was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without an <br />accumulation start date. <br />-Two black metal 55 gallon drums of used metal filters were observed in the hazardous waste storage area without <br />accumulation start dates. <br />-One black metal 55 gallon drum of used paper filters was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without <br />accumulation start dates. <br />No disposal records for antifreeze or filters was available within the last 90 days. <br />Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br />Immediately contact a licensed hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest and submit a copy <br />of the manifest to the EHD. <br />This is a Class II violation. <br /> 605 CCR 66262.34(f) Failed to completely label containers or portable tanks of hazardous waste. <br />-One white plastic 55 gallon drum of used antifreeze was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without a <br />label. <br />-One black metal 55 gallon drum of used paper filters was observed in the hazardous waste storage area without an <br />accumulation start date on the label. <br />-Two black metal 55 gallon drums of used metal filters were observed in the hazardous waste storage area without <br />accumulation start dates on the labels. <br />All hazardous waste containers shall be marked with the following information: <br /> - the words “Hazardous Waste” <br /> - name and address of generator <br /> - hazardous properties <br /> - physical state <br /> - composition (contents) <br /> - accumulation start date <br />Immediately label these containers and ensure that all hazardous waste containers are marked with all the required <br />information. <br />This is a minor violation. <br />Overall Inspection Comments: <br />Complete and submit a copy of the Return to Compliance Certification form to the EHD with a statement <br />documenting the corrective actions that have been or will be taken for each violation, and any supporting <br />paperwork, by February 1, 2019. <br />Starting September 1, 2018, all in-office CERS help will be provided at EHD hourly rate ($152).
