3 0 SITE CLOSURE REQUIREMENTS (Appendix B Documentation) <br /> The Request for No Further Action portion of this report was prepared to comply with the Th- <br /> Regional Recommendations for Preliminary Investigation and Evaluation of Underground Storage <br /> Tank Sites, Appendix B, Requests for Closure Specifically, this report presents the information <br /> ' and data required by Appendix B in support of site closure Each of the Appendix B requirements <br /> is discussed below An Appendix B Summary is included in Appendix C <br /> ' Distance to production wells for municipal, domestic agriculture, industry, and other uses within <br /> 2000 feet of the site <br /> ' On June 8, 2001, Ramage Environmental published Sensitive Receptor Survey and Groundwater <br /> Monitonng Report, which included an inventory of wells known to be within 2,000 feet of the site <br /> A base map and table indicating the locations and construction details (where known) of the 17 <br /> identified off-site water wells within 2,000 feet of the site is included in Appendix A <br /> The nearest identified well is the on-site domestic water supply well, located approximately 100 <br /> feet northwest of the former USTs Other than the on-site domestic well, the nearest off-site well <br /> is the private well (designated as well O) located at 24343 N Highway 99, approximately 800 feet <br /> east of the site No water wells were identified northeast of the site, however, several wells were <br /> ' located northwest and southeast of the site Well construction details were available for only two <br /> of these cross-gradient wells Both of these wells are residential domestic wells with total depths <br /> of 196 and 262 feet <br /> Site maps to scale of area impacted showing locations of former and existing tanks stems <br /> elevation contours, gradients, and nearby surface waters,buildings, streets, and subsurface <br /> utilities <br /> Figure 1, a portion of the U S G S 7 5-minute Lodi North Quadrangle, shows elevation contours, <br /> roads, and surface waters within the site vicinity The nearest surface body of water is the Jahant <br />' Slough, approximately 1,300 feet north of the site Figures 2 depicts the existing site <br /> configuration, including the locations of the former and existing UST systems, extent of over- <br /> excavations, and monitoring well locations Figure 4 shows the soil boring and soil sample <br />' locations in the vicinity of the former UST system, at an enlarged scale <br /> 11 <br />
