. 2 0 SENSITIVE RECEPTOR SURVEY
To evaluate possible health and safety impacts from gasoline constituent compounds in soil and
groundwater beneath the site, Ramage Environmental surveyed potential sensitive receptors
within 2,000-feet of the site (site vicinity) The survey included a review of water well completion
reports at the California Department of Water Resources (DWR) and a tour of the site vicinity
Due to the rural nature of the site vicinity and presence of water wells at each occupied property
parcel, it is assumed that public water service is not available throughout the area
' For the site vicinity, only two water well completion reports (designated 1 and 2) were on file at
DWR In addition to the on-site water supply well, another 15 wells (designated A through O)
1 were observed during reconnaissance of the site vicinity All but two of these wells appeared to
be operational Appendix A includes a base map showing the locations of all 17 identified wells, a
' table summarizing any well construction data, and copies of available well completion reports
Other than the on-site domestic well, the nearest off-site well is the private well (designated as
' Well O) located at 24343 N Highway 99, approximately 800 feet east of the site No water wells
were identified northeast (downgradient) of the site, however, several wells were located
northwest and southeast of the site Well construction details were only available for two of these
wells Both of these wells are residential domestic wells with total depths of 196 and 262 feet
Reconnaissance of the site vicinity included a walking tour of the area The site vicinity is
bisected by Highway 99 and includes the Jahant Road interchange The site is surrounded to the
' northeast, north, west and southwest by agricultural land Two agricultural wells (designated
Wells E and F) did not appear to be operational Approximately 1,500 feet south of the site is the
Lodi Airport and cafe Based on the presence of groundwater monitoring wells, the water supply
' well for the cafe (designated as Well A) is in dose proximity to a former UST at the airport No
schools, hospitals, day care centers or other possible sensitive receptors were observed in the
' site vicinity
The nearest significant surface water body to the site is Jahant Slough, approximately 1,300 feet
' north of the site Topographically, this tributary moves from east to west across the northern part
of the site vicinity In late May 2001, standing water was observed in the slough throughout the
' site vicinity
I
